The company was founded in 1892 and has been known since 1950 under the name MSLZ Velké Opatovice. The company is well-known and belongs today, due to the takeover by the P-D group and successive investment, to the biggest and most successful refractory manufacturer in Europe.

The delivery of specific custom made modified qualities is also guaranteed. P-D Refractories CZ a.s is certified according to ISO 9001:2008 and thus is equally certified by ISO standards as the German production locations.
Plant Velké Opatovice
The existence of the Velké Opatovice plant has played an important role in the development of its local region for more than 100 years. The plant provides the domestic industry and the industry abroad with its products. The production equipment handles a broad product line with blocks of up to several hundred kilos in weight, shaped blocks, and magnesite bricks for night storage heaters, etc.

Modern refractory materials with sophisticated shapes must be manufacutured using high precision plant equipment when seeking to achieve the best possible quality. Dinas Svitavy was founded in 1985 with considerable capital investment and started its production with high quality silica materials and chimney ducts.
