Silica light bricks with an SiO2 content of ≥ 91 % are manufactured with a classified raw density in the range of 0,5 g/cm³ to 1,25 g/cm³ by the use of selected SiO2 rich raw materials and pore formers and by using the so called dry pressing procedure. Silica light bricks are classifed in group 30 by ASTM standards.
